Blogging platforms, like WordPress, automatically assign the “no follow” rule. However, there are platforms where links may be accepted by trusted users of the blog, so it is important to also establish your credibility with blog owners.

3) Submit your website to relevant online directories, like the Internet Business Directory . If you are not sure which online directories are relevant to your website, Google offers a list of internet business directories that is broken down by category. Some directories are free and others charge for inclusion, so do your research before you decide to submit your website’s URL.

4) Pay special attention to your website’s internal link structure. If you are using links within your website, make sure that all links have appropriate anchor text and avoid the words “click here”. A good rule of thumb is to link your keyword phrases to relevant pages within your site or to quality online resources. Create Videos

Video is something that can bring those lazy people to your site. These people are usually too lazy to read something and rather watch it. All you need to do is make a video explaining what your site is all about. Just don’t forget to provide them with a link. Try sites like YouTube, Daily Motion, Metacafe, and Veoh. Join Communities

Communities allow you to build a relationship with people. Once you have a relationship established people will trust your website and become loyal followers. All you have to do is interact with people who are interested in your site’s subject and then recommend them to it. Some online communities include Digg, Yahoo Answers, and specific forums.

All these other methods have something that only email can provide, and that is getting the same people to visit your website. When you promote with articles, the person will probably only see your site once, that’s it. With emails you can have people returning every single time. You could send an email out every time you update your content, have a special promotion, etc. You will be surprised how many people respond.

Viral eBooks

This is a very unique method. All you have to do is write a short report or book that provides people with valuable information. Then include links back to your website in the eBook. I recommend writing at least 10 pages. The twist to this is to allow others to hand out your eBook to their friends and customers. Many people will take you up on the offer and your eBook will spread like a virus. This is why the term viral is used. You can even submit your book to eBook directories.
